What do You think about the lens contrast - colour rendition compared to the L-lenses mentioned in the revew?

I have used the Tamron 70-200 for more than a year now, and I am very pleased with the image quality. The lens contrast is a little weaker at f2.8 in the long end (135-200), but from f3.5 it seems to be on a surprisingly high level for a zoom lens.

In fact, this is the first zoom I really like, just a pity the manual focusing is so tricky.

As you mentioned - 200mm @ f/2.8 is the weak spot in terms of contrast. It's a little hard to comment here because of the slight centering defect at this setting. A perfect sample is surely pretty good here as well.
