Pointless decisions by Canon, what did they drink? - toni-a - 12-23-2019

Using EOSRP, I am discovering some pointless decisions when it comes to video.
With a crop sensor lens on EOSRP you can't shoot in full HD, you have HD and you have 4K, but not full HD, however when using a full frame lens, you can set crop to x1.6 in video and shoot in full HD, what's the point? That's just doesn't make any sense...
Having 4K and HD but not FHD while having the same features enabled when using another lens...
What do you think Canon engineers were drinking when they made the firmware?

Sake perhaps? :-) It sounds more like a bug/oversight to me than a conscious decision. They might fix it in a newer firmware. It is a new product line, so there will be more bugs than this one I could imagine.
