Thanks. Still seems bit different but I'm not at all knowledgeable in lens design to understand what that might portend for the performance. Remember, the Canon 50/1.8 STM presumably has the same construction as the preceding plastic wonder but both Klaus and the Lenstip reviewers found it to perform noticeably better for some reason.
