My review of the Tamron 20mm F/2.8 Di III RXD 1:2 - stoppingdown - 03-09-2021

Ladies and gents,

at last I was able to post my first review of the Tamron 20mm F/2.8 Di III RXD 1:2, bought a few months ago. Local restrictions limited my possibilities of hiking on "good" meadows, but fortunately the recent start of blossoming increased the number of subjects at hand; furthermore in these days restrictions in my region have been lifted a bit.

Since I still need a final revision on the text it's in Italian only; as soon as possible I'll finalise it and publish an English version. In the meantime there are the photos and technical details near the captions

Nice review.

And quite some awesome macro images with this lens. The bokeh seems to be really good for a lens in this class.

thx for sharing.

Stoppingdown ...... I would have liked to have read the review and did try to google translate it ........... (not that I like GT) ..... so I'm there in spirit but will have to await the English version!

I think the Google translation did just fine, as long as you translate into English. Direct translation between two languages other than English is often... less fluid, so to say.

An interesting read, although the lens bears little relevance to me personally (I was just curious). And great pictures in the review, too.

When clicking on the link it appears in Italian ......... if I copy and open it with Google Chrome ....... I get something about 45mm lenses and free shipping ...... ??

Ok... here we go:

http://stoppingdown.net/blog/sul-campo-con-il-tamron-20mm-f28-di-iii-rxd-12/?l=en

(should be automatically English when the browser i18n is not Italian, but there's also an explicit link at the top).

What is the shortest extension tube available for F-mount?

I think the shortest extension available is by loosening the lens mount"s screws
