Hopefully, it'll continue Tokina's tradition with high-performance ultra-wide lenses.

I should have one for testing soon.

Wonder how that compares to the Tamron 11-20?

Here a first quick review. I'd say meh for sharpness in the corners...

Tested by Lenstip today. They are more or less impressed, and you know how hard it is to please the grumpy Lenstip staffers. Smile

And what are your (preliminary) impressions?

RE: Tokina atx-m 11-18mm F2.8 E announced - Klaus - 12-15-2022

Nothing is flawless ;-) but it's quite impressive.

Lenstip says it is in general a very good lens, but it looks a semi-disaster with the sun in the frame... which for a wide lens good for landscape is a big issue.

I noticed some flare, but then zoom lenses aren't really top-notch in this respect in general.

Lenstip are often making a big deal of flare, and are panicked easily when seeing it. Thank God they've not handled my Sigma 14mm, it would've given them a heart attack. Smile It's even getting me irritated, and I'm not easily amused (or disturbed) most of the time. Smile
