Samsung NX 50-200mm OIS - stabilizer question - Dutchy - 01-29-2024

Hello everyone,

I am new here! I hope you can help me out with a question.

I have a Samsung NX1000 camera and a 50-200mm OIS lens since a few days. The lens has OIS, so I thought the image stays still when I 'view' the image on the LCD or through the view finder, but it doesn't, it shows all the shaking of my hand.

But, the images are pinsharp.

So, is this stabiliser fitted in the camera or in the lens?

Hope to hear from you.

Dutchy

I can't really remember this from the old days, but maybe check the camera settings.
On some cameras & lenses, the IS can be set to get activated upon shutter release only.
Whether this is the case here - I don't know.
