My wife loves painting, I love taking pictures, we came out with a great idea of putting our work together: part of the frame will be filled with a photo, the remaining drawing

however we won't do split frame, the picture will take whatever proportion of the frame. our first work was matt paper photo on wood with acrylic painting all around. (photo tonight)
Any suggestions for other media or some inspiring pictures and tips ?
