My Sony 16-50 just desintegrated for the 2nd time
I can surely buy it again but that looks like a crazy move, buying a really bad lens twice !!!
my alterntives are Sony 18-135 and 18-105
didn't try any f them and don't know what to expect
from build quality side, are they good enough ? or they will just desintegrte like 16-50 ?

None of the above. Instead, I'd buy the new Sigma 18-50 f2.8 in a heart beat!

what about the Tamron 17-70mm?
If you just want a cheap and cheerful replacement - what about the Sony E 18-55mm? Not the greatest thing on the planet but not that terrible.

16-50 couldn't survive with my daughter more than 3 weeks... she was shooting then dropped it from 30-40 cm that was enough to make it stuck in middle position half extended.....
