At f/1.4 I'd probably place my bets on the Canon 85L.

- well here's a picture from the 85/1.4za @ 1.4, almost no post . . . ahem, but i have others too - against the light with oof highlights is somewhat more difficult [Image: mellow.gif]

- exactly my experience, ta - the light should be right at 1.4 with my lens - and the content too maybe (the busy garden is difficult) - but for me 1.4 gives very interesting results out and about and no doubt in the studio too from which ever brand i expect

The foreground blur seems a little busy but that's always a matter of the specific scene.

In any case it'll be a close race and nothing to worry about anyway.

Bokeh is not about highlights in particular, though. The Samyang just has smoother (background) bokeh. It can be called "creamy", what we can't really say of some others.

A nice test.

I am interested in seeing the review on Samyang 35mm f1.4, if it will be done in the near future. At lenstip the Samyang 35mm f1.4 gets a very good score if I remember it correctly.
