And it costs a pretty penny, though I guess it's par for the course for a supertele. I would never get one not just because I can't afford it, but also because of the associated weight and bulk, and with my current work style it won't likely ever be necessary. But I can surely understand those who are different (besides, I shot with a Canon 300/2.8 once and it's quite something).

"M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO/300-1000mm (35mm equivalent)"

They for some odd reason left out something: M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO/300-1000mm F9-11.25 (35mm equivalent)

It will cost USD $7500.

if you absolutely want portable 1000mm equivalent it is a reasonable choice aside the price surely, if we follow the 1/ISO at f16 sunny day rule, the needed ISO to have shutter speed >1/1000 is within usable range even for MFT

Launched more less at expected price point. With high build, and assuming it will deliver on high image quality, it rounds up long offering for the system. As Olympus is selling the business, somewhat surprising yet positive news.
Thumbs up.

Don't know if the lens is any good but the pictures alone are worth reading the 3 set of articles (hint they are very very good).

Sample images are excellent!
I want to know more about the handling and the focus...
