Hi Folks, coronavirus is an old denomination from the appearance of the virus on electronic microscope, when I was still a medical student in the 90s, they used to teach us that coronaviruses and rhinoviruses are among causes for the common cold.
There are plenty of coronaviridae, I remember this virology chapter being a nightmare to study, if you are that interested here's a good reference
