DxO & NEX 7

What strikes me a little odd is that the nex has an 80% lower High iso score but at the same time allegedly a greater dynamic range than the 5d Mark II. I always thought that dynamic range was restricted by noise (at least in dark tone areas). Not really sure what to make of this dxo stuff, although the sensor looks indeed very good from the samples I have seen so far. I wouldnt call it 5d territroy so. Once you lighten shadows a bit in the nex 7 images, you see quite a bit more noise than in 5d images. Nevertheless, for an aps-c sensor its really good.

dxo's claim that the NEX7 is better than 5d (81 vs.79 overall points) shoukd be taken with a huge grain of salt here.

I think the DxO normalization favors high megapixel sensors.
