Yes, I was wondering about tele options too, the smaller sensors require smaller lenses.
In that regard, I also was wondering, how would the latest all in one superzooms (e.g. DSC-HX100V) that can go up to about 800mm (FF equiv) compare to say a Canon 100-400 (on a crop).
While I'd love to have a 100-400, for the few shots I would use it, it's hardly worth getting it. And these big lenses get heavy, while a DSC-HX100V could also serve as a back-up camera.
Any thoughts? Would a shootout of a Canon 100-400 with a several of these DSC-HX100V and similar cameras make sense? (I know about ISO, so no need to go there).
