I don´t understand this line of thought. There is an excess of lens versus DSLR body sales. E.g. Nikon sold in the first half of 2011 3.93 million lenses but "only" 2.73 million DSLRs. Doesn´t this indicate that a fairly large number of DSLR buyers (say 30%) move beyond the inevitable 18-55 kit zoom and actually use their DSLR as ILC?
