Your earlier statement of "faster" AF was implicitly single shot, hence I wrote what I did. Also I think you're over-reading what Thom wrote. Basically, the V1 beats the micro4/3 bodies, and can get close to DSLR. However if you look around, the V1 AF is still far from perfect. The phase AF in that needs more light to work than a DSLR does, below which you're back to contrast.
I don't doubt in the distant future mirrorless will take over some day. It still has a very long way to go. I don't care if a camera has a mirror or not as long as it gives me what I want. Currently, mirrorless isn't even close, although the V1 is making the "interesting" level.
