That's not exactly something a classic tracking AF couldn't do as well. The Nikons and the upcoming Canon 1Dx also feature object following. In addition, shooting chess doesn't really qualify as action photography, does it? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />



Contrast based AF for sure has hidden potentials, but so far I have the impression it still cannot match phase AF regarding tracking, even in the latest generation m43 cameras.
