I think there is a big manual only market out there and the lenses tend to be smaller, more robust looking, and maybe other trade offs. I love this lens. Depth of field wise on ff I never liked dipping below f/4 on this fov, so it being equivalent to f/2 on ff is a non-issue to my mind. But being able to open up so much is crazy, think of the street night photography you can do. I could get great hand helds being able to open up that much- opens up a new style of shooting I've never tried before.
