No, you can't talk about DOF implications that way really.... Closer by ALWAYS gives more shallow DOF, but when you can't compare with the same scene.... there is nothing to compare, really. If you move closer, you change the image itself, so no sense in trying to compare DOF when the other attributes of the image change (the subject size changes, the background framing changes).
And when you want to actually make a close up, you usually do not do that at f1.4 or f2, because the DOF is too thin then.
If you do have a use for the closer focus ability, you can always put an extension tube on either lens, which will allow you to focus closer than what the lens is designed for. So, if you have a need for closer focussing, but would go the FF +135mm f2 route, an extension tube of for instance 12mm would already give the 135mm/FF combination an advantage in MFD.
