Regarding the VF, yes I expect it to be much bigger and brighter than my K5's. However, I'm not sure exactly to with extend as I've never used a FF. My K5 also confirms focus with MF lenses, however even with it, I still encounter inaccuracy issues. It may be quite different with the D800.
