Since the problem is mostly with the hair I can't help thinking that with a redheaded/brunette model the overall look would be better but I see where the OP was coming from, and even though this kind of look isn't my cup of tea I can totally understand his vision since the hair color meshes well with the surroundings.
The face is well exposed and that's more important.
