I thought they're all old and discontinued? (except maybe for the 24-85 but that's probably going to change soon with the new 24-85 VR hitting the stores).

Regarding the AF-D 24-85mm lens: if I remember correctly, this lens is already in the pipeline for an FX review. Besides, I think among the mid-range zooms within the Nikon line up, this lens is unique with its more versatile FL range, close-up capabilities beyond 35mm and mostly because of the (relatively) pleasent bokeh rendering in this class. It has a strong barrel distortion on the wide side and softer on the tele side, but all in all, I belive the performance on a 24mp FX body is worth to report.
And after that, the extra review for the new 24-85mm would make us happier than ever <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />... One can decide to grab the new one or not <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />...
