You can focus at infinity and f8 for anything wider than 35mm and you will have all the dof you need from 1m to infinity.



So if you have MF lenses and you can hardly see what is in front of you, what exactly is the problem with turning the ring to infinity and just shoot?

Well if we put the review aside, the issue is the %100 view on LCD. And for a DSLR like D800 (which requires higher precision with regard to focusing), this magnified LiveView issue cannot be considered as not important. I think the reviewer has chosen the wrong lens to report about the LiveView issue.



But of course when it comes to the DR case, I think the results are very apparent for us the end users compared to saying D800 has 14EV DR...
