Been reviewing the lens MTF ratings on PZ and noticed that there appears to be a new MTF rating - e.g.
Older lens reviews cite an "MTF 50" rating with a max around 2250
Whereas the newer reviews cite an "MTF" rating - with a max closer to 4000
Are these two rating the same?
If not - Can someone explain the differences between the two ratings
And how they would relate? e.g. the new rating is 2x the old rating
Or are newer lenses just that much better?
