I can see another reason why one would try them, at least for me :

These lenses are likely to be the same as the ones for the DP1 & DP2 merrill (which I'm interested into, if the pricepoint is smart) and if one remembers the previous DPx lenses, Sigma seemed to have made pretty good lenses for them.
