I would be worried that the 12-15vl lenses are going to have very poor edge performance at infinity. There has been a few tests on alternative forums that show the edge test even with the 28mm G lens the issue shows up. Naturally with slr lenses (what is the bloody term for the different design between slr wide angle and rangefinder angles) this is a non-issue.[/quote]
The SLR wides are usually retrofocal designs. The rangefinder ones are symmetric. Since sensors don't do so well with off-axis light, the symmetric ones tend to have more issues.
Hmm... Interesting. Don't care about video. Do care about smearing. Why must the most exciting cameras always have major caveats... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Quote:The 5n tends to have a bit less smearing or colour fringe in the corners; but the nex7 audio has no clicking noise when doing videos <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I it is fairly easy to correct the fringing (luminous landscape has a step by step process) but naturally this won't fix the smearing. Also if the bulk of the images are non-infinity then this is less of an issue.
