Less lines per image height. That is how just about everyone measures resolution, and PZ does that too.
How does lines per "square cm" make sense at all?
If you make a photo with a pentax Q, or with a Canon 5D mk II, you do not ever look at a centimeter of sensor area... you look at the captured image. Hence, image height.
So, that cleared up, do you get now that it does not really matter how you crop (whether it is by extra optics, smaller sensor, or via software in post processing)?
