So, it took me a while but I finally found a store and tried them. It was a bit complicated since I'm currently in Us and I don't know where to go.
Here what I try:
Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 Macro
Tamron 18-200 F/3.5-6.3 [[size="1"]way too much thing there.....[/size]]MACRO
Nikkor 16-85 F3.5-5.6
Nikkor 40mm F2.8
Nikkor 60mm F2.8
End up that I don't want a one purpose macro lens, at least for now.....
I didn't find the Tamron that good. Just the way to operate the macro switch was enough to make me look elsewhere.
I really like what coming out of the Nikkor 16-85. Good resolution(compare to a 18-55 it was like been owning a Hyunday and trying BMW), sharp and quick Af. The down side was the F 3.5-5.6, Strange looking Bokeh, and a bit too long minimum focusing distance (.38m). It was strange at first because that lense is really bright.On the sigma, Good resolution, sharp, quick af, nice bokeh, minimum focusing distance was good(.22m).
But even if the I found the sigma was really good, it seem that I prefer the image from the nikkor. I' not able to explain why.
I was about to buy the sigma but I ask the dealer if the warranty was valid if I bought that in us and bring in back in Canda. It seem that it don't. I didn't want to exchange the warranty for a 100 bucks.... guess I'll wait til I get home.
