Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 Ai-S: repair or not
#14
Hi!

Dont do the repair! You get these lenses much cheaper in the bay!

I had the Non-Ai 135mm f2.8 and it's a very sharp lens but also very big and heavy!

At the moment I'm using the Minolta 135mm f3.5 my father gave me and it does a pretty darn good job on my Oly e600!

For the 117€ repair cost, you can get the mentioned Zeiss + Adapter + much more nice lenses in M42 mount. For half the repair cost, you can get yourself a new 135mm Nikon!

If you don't need the half stop advantage, look into the Zeiss 135 f3.5, Nikon 135 f3.5 and Minolta 135 f3.5! All of them are very good!

For that wide prime, just go for one of the new ones as soon as you can afford! Any old lens in this focal range and with decent quality costs a fortune and will be huge!
