You are of course free to make up your own mind... However, regarding what you said in another thread, about leaving your heavy lenses at home and only taking 2 light primes with you on trips (one of which the Nikon 35mm f2) I can not help but think that this 1 KG (!!) lens is not the right choice, especially since one does want to bring wide angle along on trips/hikes!

In that light I still would consider the lighter, smaller options, which will give fine enough results for you anyway, when stopped down. Which is usually not a problem to do with wide angle.
There then is the Zeiss 18mm which weighs just less than half (470 grams), the very light (just above 200 grams) voigtlander 20mm f3.5 SL II, the ridiculously cheap but good when stopped down Tokina 19-35mm f3.5-4.5 (under 200 euros, 390 grams) or the Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-4 wqhich weighs under half at 440 grams and delivers great results stopped down a bit.
The best lens is the lens you actually bring along....
