I held a Sony nex5 in some saturn store and was lucky to find it with a working battery and its 18-55.
I thought the screen was indeed very nice but wasnt sure about its color accuracy (neon lighting didnt help there) but I suppose it is quite good. I found it was very zippy and responsive on the AF side and that it possibly had a shorter shutter lag than my E-P1, which BTW is now a quite fast enough camera after latest Firmware updates.
BUT... my fears about its reportedly horrid interface were more than confirmed : it´s actually worse than I could imagine. I just abandoned after a few button presses thinking "bugger, no will to dig deeper in this".
Also saw the nex3 with the 16mm lens on... that is a more harmonious looking package IMHO.It was very tempting at 500€ but I´m very very disappointed by early lenses reports and that the body has this UI...
will sell great though, one just has to see 15 meters large ad boards in cities and the panorama sweep mode in action.
