DPP has always been my prefered, it's getting better with every update, after a start with Sony, it was one of the things I missed most and one of the reasons I switched back to Canon.
Continuing to offer software update for a 15 year old 300D this is called customer respect, no wonder they are leading.
BTW will surely download this update, the previous one brought some major speed improvements making DPP the fastest RAW converter I have used.
