Calling a lens "F1.8" that has more than 3 stops vignetting, and then fixing the issue in software, which of course as Klaus pointed out will amplify the noise more than 3x sound like cheating to me. What comes next? A lens that has F1.8 in the very centre and then dropping to 5EV in the corners? Software will fix, the consumer won't notice.
IMHO one of the reasons you want a FF sensor is because of the superior noise performance - with 3EV vignetting you will have a lot more noise in the corners at high ISO settings. Depending on the use, it might not matter, but it still, it feels like cheating to me.

that's a good point, let's consider the extreme corners, and compare the corners exposure with RF15-35f2.8 which has 1.5 EV vignetting at the borders, once corrected the noise at the borders should be the same despite this one being the faster lens, it's only faster at the center
