I currently use the Fuji 16-80. I like its rendering, colors and bokeh, but sharpness at the edge is not that great. I suspect this Tamron could be similar or better in their overlapping range while being much more versatile.
That's the primary issue in Fuji mount. The 16-55 and 18-55 are decent but the 16-80 and 18-135mm are ... meh.
I used to have the 18-55. It was sharp indeed. However, its bokeh was horrid. The worse bokeh of any lens I've had. Consequently it was a great landscape lens, but for portraits it was very bad.
The 16-80 isn't as sharp in the corners, but its rendering and bokeh are much much better.
Overall, I like the 16-80 better.
