Does anybody used that lens on a Canon before - I know Nikon have a much cheaper 35 1.8 which comparatively gives much more value than the sigma...

 

but how about Canon?  I was thinking if I should buy this so would like to see some of opinions here.

 

Pros: Lightweight with 1.4, Bokeh(?)

Cons: Image quality(?)

Canon has the EF 35mm f2 IS USM. Tamron has the 35mm f1.8 USD VC. The Nikkor AF-S 35mm 1.8 DX is not that great, it has pretty crappy bokeh and is not that special. For similar price and size, and partially nicer bokeh (depending ins focus distance) the old Canon EF 35mm f2 compares well with that the cheap Nikkor.

 

The Sigma is a pretty nice lens, though. It has a nice bokeh character. IQ Is pretty good on the whole.
