Remember this prototype camera/sensor?
http://image-sensors-world.blogspot.nl/2...ensor.html
Now it has materialized as ME20F-SH, with improved sensor compared to the 2013 prototype.

Pretty pricy at $30.000, but also very capable and pretty specialized.

This camera is designed for extreme low light.
"No 4k?" is like asking "no 350 km/h?" when looking at the capabilities of the Unimog. Pretty pointless.

The $$ are normal for such a specialized product.... The lenses used for cinematic stuff cost more per piece too.

Yes it is the men world. Bigger is better.
Before we are talking for bigger numbers of pixels.
Nowadays we are talking about bigger pixels.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
For me it look like as a salsa dance - one step forth one back.
In period of lack on innovation such dance could help sales in photographic/video industries.
Just adding of new features doesn't sells anymore.
For me it iook like that canon is seaching for smal niches. e.g 50MP DSLR or either 2MP/HD vieos
rabel/xxxD is not stronger anymore, neither the xx series, M is just another fiasco.

Miro, I agree with you.
and just to add: If one doesn't know how to dance anything else than salsa, he will dance salsa no matter the music.
