That Zeiss 35mm f1.4 seems to render very nicely, for its type.

#3
The primes have nice MTF. And the 28/2 is unusually complex for a "non G, non Zeiss" lens.

#4
Promising.

The super zoom will fail given its MTFs at 24mm though.

If the corners are already soso on an optical bench, they'll be bad when combined with an actual camera behind it.

The macro seems really yummy.

15 lens elements, including OSS => centering nightmare

I'm pretty curious on the performance of the 28 + the UWA adapter. Perhaps it's just my inexperience, but UWA adapter sounds as cheap solution. I presume Sony is offering something different here.

The 90mm kind of looks like a Tamron 52B put on an SLR-to-FE-mount adapter - I like it!  Big Grin

The optics seem to be inspired on the Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 Di VC USD, the front groups are very similar. Probably a Tamron designed lens, optically.

Glad that my old Tamron 90mm f2.8 only weighs about 400 grams, though, with its only 10 elements (although this new Sony will be better).

That would make sense as Sony owns 11% of Tamron. Let's hope it's at least as good as the 2.8/90 VC  Wink
