Sorry but the EF 11-24mm f/4 USM L hasn't landed in down under yet  Rolleyes

Pretty nice results for its type and the price. I looked at the Nikkor 24-120mm f4 VR results next to it again, and then this "budget" standard zoom does not disappoint. A shame the EF 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS USM never was tested on FF for reference.  B)

The 28-135 is about as old as the time itself.

You are right in that, but this lens is its follow-up, so it would still have been interesting...

Agreed. Isn't the 28-135 still in production, to boot?

BC, if you're dying to know, there has been one FF test that I know of... (but on old 5D): http://slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.p...139/cat/11

This new lens looks nice. Probably a good replacement to all three comparable lenses: 24-85, 28-135, 24-105L (the latter, I think, is going to be killed off soon so that its niche is split between the 24-70/4 and this new 24-105 STM). The 24-85 was nice but I gave mine to a girl armed with a crossbow... Big Grin

I have to say that I love using my 27 yrs old Canon EF 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 II on my 5d mk2. Some field curvature problems at 28mm, but nothing really to object against a 30€ lens. And 28-135 is still in production, isn't it? Smile

Hi Klaus,

Do you have examples of the field curvature in this lens? I cannot see it in the review samples. They are all taken at f11 or so.

Tnx

Nice price you had it for, I was pleased to find a like new one for €150.
