Only time will tell. I think this prediction has occurred every year for the past 3? 4? It is sort of like olympus claiming every year their camera division will be profitable. Will it really happen this year ?

At the beginning, I thought the article was focused on Panasonic, but at the end, it gives me more reason to buy Sony QX lenses.

IMHO the problem with mirrorless cameras gaining market share is the price. They are cheaper to manufacture, but are more expensive than DSLRs. For example PanaOly are selling at $600 entry, $800 advance and $1000 to $1200 top of the line. The consumer really needs to be pressed on size/weight advantage to purchase them otherwise there are other choices-DSLRs. The share instantly part is more of hype to me, but it matters a lot at the moment. I purchased  E-PL2 used for $220, but ended up selling it. I can't see myself buying such camera for its original price above $500. Panasonic GX1 kit for $450 was a bargain,  but originally was introduced near the $800 mark.
