The discussion of overlap makes sense in a different perspective: other lens catalogs offer more choice and you can choose whether you want a set which overlaps or not. Indeed the overlap can be helpful (more flexibility, as sometimes you don't have to change lens), but with a price to pay (heavier). Currently with Nikon I have an overlap (12-24 + 18-70) but I'd like to go with the lighter solution without overlap as an alternative. In other words, with Fuji, I'd like to see both a 10-18 (such as Sony's) and a 24-70 or such.
