Pretty neat application Smile

Most users here probably know this, but for those who don't, there are more convenient tools for things like that. The Photographer's Ephemeris, for example, which is a free app for PC and costs only $5 for smartphones. IMHO apps like these shine on mobile phones, they can use GPS to automatically set your location and give you all the data right in the field.

Yes, the photographer's ephemeris also came to mind. However, the above application is somewhat different in that it gives the angle of the sun throughout the day on a map, with the angle color coded as to how high the sun is above the horizon. As pointed out, having this application on a gps phone would very quite useful, because - unlike TPE - it gives angles throughout the day. However, the golden hour seems a bit too narrowly defined.

Does anyone know for such app, which tracks the moon in the same manner?

Not exactly the same approach but shows the moon data...

As far as I can see, this doesn't do more than The Photographers Ephemeris, which seems more polished.

I miss-use Stellarium on my PC and my Nexus 7 for that matter. It showns the movement of the sun and the moon animated and even simulates the change of the color of the sky.
