I thought I'd check to see what you are on about. And I do not get what you are on about. The lenses do not differ much in performance at all.

Vignetting at the same apertures is not all that different, distortion is not all that different.

The Fuji at wide angle is a bit sharper than the Samsung, but at 2mm wider.

At 35mm, the Fuji has higher center sharpness, the Samsung higher border sharpness.

The Fuji at 55mm has the same performance as the Samsung at 55mm.

 

So, where exactly do you see the Fuji "performing worse"?

 

Then on to the stars. The Fuji gets 3.5 to 4 stars. The Samsung gets 3.5 stars. The Fuji is a stop faster, goes wider and longer (so the half star is clearly warranted). Where are those "more stars"? Are you Samsung biased?

Distortion is better on Samsung, but at 20mm, vignetting is better on Samsung. Resolution is mostly better on Samsung, especially in corners, but sometimes slightly better on Fuji in the center.  CA are better on Samsung on 50mm vs 55mm, but better on Fuji on 35mm.
