I've seen some horrible pictures with the canon 35f2; though your sample are fine. I can't remember the situation in which it falls apart; it might be two specific cases; foreground and mid focus images. In your example you must be near min focus and it does appear to do a better job in that case.

He does comment at the end that the bokeh is not as smooth as the nikon or canon 35f1.4; but the resolution is noticeably higher than both and he is very impressed with the design/build.
