Missing my 28mmf2.8, which replacement ?
#1
28mm f2.8 was a nice little lens I used on 30D and 300D and gave me good results, unfortunately it is dead now (AF doesn't work) and I am thinking of a replacement what do you think should I get one ?

among the options the good old 35mmf2.0 but it's hard to find now also there's the 24mm f2.8 STM and the 28mm f1.8 what would you recommend ?

The Sigma 30mm f1.4 Art.

I second the 30/1.4 Art suggestion, but unless you're after a large aperture lens, why not just use the 28mm setting of a zoom lens you have in the range (17-55/2.8 wasn't it?) instead of having to buy yet another lens?

I guess, he wants something small?

6D + 40/2.8 pay up.

Well it's Just when I need a tiny Lens on 750D, of 17-55f2.8 is at least as good as 28mmf2.8

Nonetheless this weekend I tried 18-55 STM I am using almost exclusively for video and I noticed it's quite decent much improved than the previous versions, and with acceptable results from 750D at ISO 1600 I think I found a good solution

Why ?? What's wrong with 5D plus 50f1.4 or 50f1.8 STM ?

After rethinking I guess I own too many lenses, promise I am buying nothing without selling a lens rarely used before

6D + 40mm is much lighter and will be much better performing. Both the camera body and the lens.
