Well, you never know how it's going to work out. However, we have a permanent residency visa. The plan says "3+ years" - whatever this means in the end. Regarding the involved costs of this adventure (all privately paid) we'll need at least a year to recover from the investment.
It's sort of funny that many Europeans are heading towards Germany these days whereas we'll surf towards other shores.
