Good to see that they seem to implement AF and aperture control.

Well, I guess the price will be quite steep.

It looks quite big compared to the mount... hmmm.

For an 28mm f4 full frame equivalent the size is kind of a let down. Even 24mm and 28mm f2.8's on FF are not bigger. But it does give an advantage over APS-C DSLRs though, as they do not have 18mm primes.

If they make one for NEX (as some rumors suggest) that might tip the scales for me. NEX-7 looks like a no-brainer for me but the lack of native lenses is kinda discouraging. Maybe it's time to put my obsession with Canon 1D bodies to rest and ditch the Ls, especially the 70-200 that of late has been provoking too much reaction out on the street. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> When on vacation I feel like Lady Godiva carrying this kind of stuff around and even if I end up using the photos meaningfully a NEX or µ4/3 would in all honesty be just as usable. The only exception was last year's trip to Western China but that was once in a lifetime.

Now, if only there had been a good stabilized semi-bright telezoom by ANY brand around... (something similar to Canon's 70-200/4 L IS, but useable natively on any of the mirrorless systems)

Hope they will reverse a trend of building wide-angle lenses that require severe distortion corrections in software.

An yes, would be really nice to see it for NEX.
