I'm a bit surprise by the high rating on build quality. There has been some complaints on the web that the lens will self disassemble. As far as I can tell from the descriptions; it sounds like something on the front easily unscrews and then the whole thing falls apart; not sure how prevalent; there were at least two reported instances. As far as I can tell this was specific to the 60 but not really sure if it is inherient to the 60's design or perhaps the distance it travels during auto focus.

The other complaint I have read is that there is some weird in camera processing (perhaps as part of noise reduction) so in landscape images with busy backgrounds (trees) you can get weird artifcats.

Mind you the samples you have look quite lovely and the majority of the images I've seen look very nice (not sure if yours are jpeg out of camera or post processed); but the images out of cameras generally look quite nice ('cept for red which can be quite weird; I've noticed that none of your images have deep reds).

I cannot rate on hearsay nor on other people's experience - I've seen one message about this.

There's one "issue" with all Fujinons - there's almost no fixed space. At the front there's the moving focusing ring followed directly by the aperture ring. There's only a 0.5cm thick ring next to the mount which does not move. This is a bit of a problem when mounting/unmounting the lenses because you will basically always turn the rings in the process. You cannot overturn the focus ring though because it's free-floating.

iFn is stated in "Other features" on first page.

Copy from some Samsung review?

Thanks for the review.

Is the MTF measured from RAW or distortion-corrected pics?

I did both actually but you got the RAW version. The latter is somewhat better but the difference is marginal for the 60/2.4 (and the 35/1.4).

F/2.4 is (IMHO of course) disappointing for a lens which only has 1:2 magnification and is designed for APS-C sensor. IF design (and probably better AF) would also be welcomed.

You have to put the aperture into perspective with the size of the lens I think.

The Samsung NX 60/2.8 has all that you want but it is a monster in comparison.

Yes, but OTOH look at the Canon 60/2.8 and even more, on the Tokina 60/2. I have the Canon (and absolutely love it) and had the Tokina on my A33 (and liked it a lot, apart from the AF issues).
