I do not think the (yet) part will go away. Same reason for PD AF coverage to be limited goes for the hybrid AF PD part... Only now it is not limited by the size of the mount/mirror box (remember that coverage in FF frames is smaller than in APS-C frames, because APS_C has FF sized mirror box), but limited also by the smaller size of the sensor.

Essentially, we see the same coverage as with PD AF, but with an 1.6x crop factor.
