I agree that we are not seeing substantial differences at medium aperture settings.
The NEX 7 sensor should be able to extract slightly more information at least for those figures that are at least "good".
As already mentioned I do not believe in this logic for large aperture settings though. The existing data suggests that something weird is going on here on the NEX 7.
