It's official folks. I love being proven wrong sometimes. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> But up until recently there was a prevailing sentiment that Canon is phasing out EF non-L lenses altogether to make those who want FF pay dearly for the Ls. However, the MSRP of the primes is exceedingly steep and the zoom has no IS. I guess that if the new Tamron delivers optically it can roll all three of these Canons into one lens efficiently... at a lower price than the L zoom alone. I'll be waiting for the Tamron and probably even get one ultimately.
