Is the AF fast and accurate enough for a running 3 year old? Is BIF possible?
In bright daylight with a 7D, yes. I can't speak for 60D but I think you'll be okay. Indoors, forget it.
How does the Bokeh compare?
The 55-250 has decent bokeh at 55 mm and 250 mm. Bokeh for in-between focal lengths (e.g. 135) is lousy.
